JULY 2011
Beau 3/10/04 - 7/13/11
3 Short weeks ago Beau seemed to really be bothered by his ear and we took him into the vet. (We are very fortunate to have a neighbor/friend who works for this great Veterinary Clinic with very caring folks) They put him under to get his ear cleaned out. We thought the anesthesia was causing his "stroke like" symptoms but unfortunately this was not the case. Beau was facing degenerative affects of a disease called "cranial nerve damage" combined with something called "drop jaw" This was causing him to have loss of balance and was constantly disoriented. He did enjoy the peanut butter crackers as he took his pills each morning and night for the past 3 weeks- the boy will do anthing for treats.
Thank you, Susan & Jeanne

Fletcher Aurigemma Jan 1, 1994 - March 19, 2011
Dear Dr. King,
Thanks to your kindness & understanding, Fletcher went to heaven to play with his old friend "Pepper" our dalmation of 15 years. I can't thank you enough for the perfect combination of meds that allowed him to fall peacefully asleep in my arms. Thank you for allowing him to move on without fear and in the comfort of his home. You are the best!

DECEMBER 2010
Thank you so much for your compassionate care yesterday (and your staff as well) in assisting my kitty Azool's soul departure from her ailing physical body. The house is so empty without her sweet presence and my tears just keep falling. I was so upset when we talked about her physical condition that I forgot that she had improved for about a week after our last visit. If you'll recall you gave her a Vitamin B12 injection and just a few days before, Dr. Jacobsen had given her an antibiotic injection. She had even "asked" to go outside for a couple of days following that visit. But then she began refusing food and went into another "slump", which she never came out of. I really didn't want to leave her for a week while I visited in Minnesota because I knew she needed me. However my friend gave her the best care she could. Azool just wanted to lay on the bed, ate very little, continued to have liquid stools and looked more miserable than ever. She has always been such a precious gift to me and I didn't want her to suffer any more. It was time to let go. If and when my 3 year old Felico needs care, I certainly know where to come now.
With heartfelt thanks,
Anara Solray

OCTOBER 2010
Dear Washington Family Vet
This is Joy, you recently spayed me last month. I'm doing well, thank you for taking good care of me!! Andrea, thank you for wrapping me up in a towel when mom picked me up from your office, it felt so nice, compfy and secure and helped me to not be so scared. Rikki is back to chasing me around, mom and dad put safety zones in the back yard for me to dart around. Thank you, we love your website, it's neat, clean, clear and easy to read. We love everyone there at Washington Family Vet, you are awesome!

Thank you for the reminder on Elsa. Being out of state of course doesn't work. Unfortunately, I had to put my wonderful companion down this past Saturday October 2nd. In just 2 months she developed a fast growing cancer that looks like it started on the liver. I want to give my sincere thanks to Dr. King and his staff for giving Elsa an additional year. She would have been 14 next month. I will be moving back to Green Valley, Arizona on 10/8.
Thank you again,
Beverly LeBlanc

Just a quick note and picture for Dr. Barton. This is Stoshie the Westie he saved last week, relaxing in his bed, he is almost 100% improved and starting to play again. Thank you so very much. His partner Iris rarely leaves his side now, except when he snores.

I just wanted to thank you for listening and caring about our dog Cisco. If you remember our college son & his wife took Cisco to Houston, TX and on the way she was bit by another golden retreiver. You called in a prescription to Walgreens in Houston. She is on the mend and we appreciate you putting up with me dropping in twice. Cisco was first purchased for our son when he was 11 yrs old. After years of a mission, college, marriage at 25 yrs old our son wanted Cisco with him for her remaining last years, hence the move. We are without a pet right now, but when we pick our next one, we for certain know which vet office we'll choose.
Thanks Again! Linda, Jerry, Amy & Jerrick Robker

Zoe Ellen Fellows-Ratterier: 5/16/2002 - 3/6/2010
Zoe was a reasonably new patient to your clinic with our first visit to your new office on June 6, 2009. We thoroughly enjoyed being with the doctors and staff memebers for small maintenance events and only one yearly exam before we agreed to let her rest on Saturday March 6, 2010.
QUALITY, COMPASSIONATE, CARE is right on target. Washington Family Veterinary Clinic is tops in every way.
Dr. King, both Charlie and I want to thank you personally for your incredible kindness and assurance throughout our morning visit on March 6th.

We just wanted to say thank you for taking such good care of Maddy. Although we only met briefly. You guys made us feel as comfortable as possible at such a terrible time as possible at such a terrible time for us. Thank you for making Maddy as comfortable as possible when she was in so much pain. We truly appreciate you easing her suffering. In the future, should we decide to get another member of the family, we will for sure be seeing you again

Dear Washington Vet Clinic Staff and most especially Dr. King, Dr. Barton and Teresa.
There are no words to express our profound gratitude over your saving K.C.'s life on Friday. We were strangers to you - yet you treated us with excellence and compassion unsurpassed. Dr King - you ran out to the car and carried "Little" K.C. in your arms and within seconds re-started his stopped heart. Keeping a cool head on a critical situation then you and Dr. Barton performing emergency surgery with such perfection, and Teresa in the meantime being my soothing angel of mercy and holding me while I sobbed. Your vet techs keeping us informed throughout and then even following us over to the emergency vet to carry K.C. gently inside. I could go on and on about your kindness and expertise. We will never forget you and thank God for you.
Sincerely Larry, Judie & K.C. Weiss

We are the Peterson's from Minnesota. We had the misfortune of needing vet services on Friday, January 29th for our 11 year old Maltese, Riley. After making a few calls in the St. George area with no luck getting in we were referred to you. Making the call we were told to come in and even though it was busy, a Dr. would be able to take a look. Afraid we were going to leave our little Riley in Utah. Well, you guys took charge and before long we had a course of action and treatment to at least help us get back to Minnesota with my little pal to see his Dr. and make a decision at that time what to do next. With you help, I am pleased to tell you Riley is doing just fine, back to the mouthy little trouble maker he was before he got sick last week. Looking at him now you would never know it. Our Dr. here seems to think it was a kidney infection again, which is what he had when first diagnosed with diabetes, and credits you with hydration and antibiotics for the trip home. Having never been in your office before and being from out of town, we had everything against us and you treated us like we were almost daily visitors to your facility. You could have told us like a few others did, that you were too busy to squeeze us in but the never turn customers away attitude pulled us through. We would like to personally thank Dr. Barton for your knowledge in animal medicine. Andrea, for your understanding during the interview and initial exam. Lauren & Austin for explaining the things we needed to do once we go out and on our way back to Minnesota in terms we could understand and not in medical jargon. Also, making sure we had the supplies we would need.
Thank You
Kenny & Elaine Peterson

NOVEMBER 2009
Dr. King, Dr. Barton & Staff
It's that time of the year again, Thanksgiving! We need to let the people who we are most thankful for know how we feel. I am most thankful for ALL OF YOU. This was a rough year losing Chaps but a wonderful beginning with little Bailey! I sing your praises to every pet owner. I meet and tell them how wonderful and compassionate you are. Words cannot convey how much I appreciate all the wonderful care over the years you provided my little guy. Putting up with my endless calls and panic could not have been easy.... but you always made me feel comforted. I so appreciate all of you and your willingness to go the extra mile. Thank you, Thank you! Many vets are called but few are chosen. You are a blessing to all you serve! You are awesome!

Dear Staff
Thank you for all the care and compasion shown Caps these last months. Each and every one of you have been wonderful. You treated Chaps with love and dignity. Especially, please accept my deepest gratitude for helping us through the process of putting chaps down. We've never felt such love and understanding. You helped that process to be dignified and deserving of respect. I could not have gone through it without you. You are all angels of mercy. I love you all.

Dear Dr. King, Teresa & Austin
Thank you so much for your kindness & sensitivity on August 10th when we couldn't stand to see our beloved dog "Woo" suffer any longer with her illness so we brought her into be euthanized. We loved her more than you will ever know and miss her every day. It helped a lot knowing that we have a Vet and his wonderful staff who felt our pain and tried to console us. It was the hardest decision we have ever had to make. Thank you again & God bless you. John & Michele Daly

KIND THOUGHTS
Everyone should have a best friend. Faithfully my best friend greeted me at the door, made me smile, helped me get through my husbands death, took each step by my side when I injured both legs. We had a bond few share. Last week I held my best friend in my arms as he took his last breath. He was 12 years old. I am devastated. This was the most difficult decision I've ever made. Without the loving compassionate care we were provided by Dr. Jace King and his staff at the Washington Family Veterinary Clinic, I could not have endured the procedure. Dr. King listened to my frantic calls a couple of times a week as well as on Christmas Eve and Mother's Day. He has always been there for my best friend. I want to express my deepest appreciation for all he has done and his infinite patience. You're one awesome vet. Thanks Dr. King.

Dear Dr. King
The KIND THOUGHTS that was posted in the St. George Spectrum Newspaper is the most positive endorsement that anyone could use as proof that "compasionate care" is not just a phrase carelessly used. You, Dr. Barton and your staff are the most caring professionals that have come together to form Washington Family Veterinary Clinic. Pet lovers are fortunate to have such wonderful care available and, for those strays that find their way to the doors of your facility, they are also given equal, compassionate care.
May God's blessings be upon all of you for the excellence of care you always provide.
Sincerely,
Bob & Tess Mahlstedt
